Fall & Winter 2025 Content Preview
Here's what will be hitting your inbox between August 25 and December 31, 2025
Summer vacation is nearly over (can you believe it?) and, as I’m gearing up for a return to regularly scheduled newsletter programming, I wanted to share a preview of what’s coming up in the final months of 2025.
But first, if you’re a recent subscriber, welcome! I hope you’ve enjoyed exploring the archive and, most recently, my rundown of recently released albums that have been mainstays in my regular rotation during my time off. It’s an exciting time to join this community because, as you’ll see, the Fall and Winter programming slate is full of incredible artists, albums, and songs.
I’ll kick things off with a week dedicated to one of New Jersey’s first citizens, the Boss himself, Bruce Springsteen. Three combined posts will examine his songwriting prowess in a song-by-song list, dive into his exceptional recent “lost album” compilation, Tracks II, and, as if that weren’t enough, feature an in-depth look at Born to Run, one of my all-time favorite records, to coincide with its 50th anniversary.
From August through the end of November, I’ll feature album reviews to mark milestone anniversaries for important releases from artists like:
Cocteau Twins
The Clash
The Cure
Joni Mitchell
Outkast
Pink Floyd
Prince
Queen
Radiohead
Raekwon
Smashing Pumpkins
Stevie Wonder
Talking Heads
Tom Waits
There will also be three studio album discography rankings coming your way before the end of the year: Kate Bush, Aretha Franklin, and Björk. If you haven’t had a chance to catch up on the series I published on Madonna and Mariah Carey (a ranking I will have to update soon, as she’s releasing a new record this year), I recommend checking those out before these new ones drop.
Finally, some other long-form content in various stages of production includes breakdowns of Elvis Presley singles, Hot 100 No. 1s, cover songs, concept albums, and underrated jazz fusion.
Lots to cover and plenty of conversations to be had. Can’t wait to have you join me on this musical journey and see you chiming in with your thoughts in the comments.
See you in a week!
